Considering just how many TV manufacturers are throwing around that "<a href="http://www.engadgethd.com/2007/10/23/hitachis-worlds-thinnest-lcd-tvs-wooo-ut-series-with-uwb-wi/">world's thinnest</a>" claim, we're not confident that JVC's latest actually are. Thankfully, JVC did tack on an asterisk to its proclamation to note that the claim only stands when comparing its duo to others with built-in tuners. Semantics aside, the 42-inch LT-42SL89 / 46-inch LT-46SL89 both offer a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, a maximum depth of 2.9-inches and an ultrathin bezel to boot. Unfortunately, JVC isn't doling out any other specs (including price) at the moment, but both sets are slated to land in early summer.<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/displays/" rel="tag">Displays</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/jvc/" rel="tag">JVC</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/lcd/" rel="tag">LCD</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/01/06/jvc-intros-42-inch-lt-42sl89-46-inch-lt-46sl89-lcd-hdtvs/">JVC intros 42-inch LT-42SL89 / 46-inch LT-46SL89 LCD HDTVs</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Sun, 06 Jan 2008 11:01:00 EST.
